ICT technologies and new network infrastructures and services are changing drastically our society in all areas of applications. The advances in communication networks and computing infrastructure have not only an impact on the way people are working but also on the way they are interacting, learning, educating and so on. How these technologies do respond to the societal needs and how they should evolve to respond to future needs of the society are crucial aspects to discuss. After the successful organization of the ADVANCE workshop in 2012 in Canoa Quebrada (Brazil), and ADVANCE Workshop 2013 in Morro de Sao Paulo (Brazil), this 3rd edition that will be organised in Miami (USA) aims to sustain the effort of scientific collaborations bringing together practitioners and researchers from both academia and industry in order to have a forum for discussion and technical presentations on latest theoretical and technological advances.
The technical program of ADVANCE’2014 will be organized in several tracks addressing specific topics in ICT. Each session will include a keynote talk, refereed paper presentations, and discussion sessions.
